Version: 1.1
Last Updated: October 20, 2026
This Policy explains the process for deleting your GoMeet account, how we handle your personal data following deletion, and the categories of information that may be retained.
GoMeet is a mobile application developed and operated by TEKINO COMPANY LIMITED (“TEKINO”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).
This Policy applies in conjunction with our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Payment & Refund Policy, and other applicable GoMeet policies.
1. SCOPE OF APPLICATION
This Policy applies to all registered users of the GoMeet application.
Key highlights include:
How to request account deletion;
Processing procedures and statutory timeframes;
Data categories that will be deleted versus data that may be retained;
Impact on paid subscriptions and membership benefits;
How to contact Customer Support for assistance.
Account deletion and data processing are conducted in strict compliance with GoMeet’s internal policies and applicable statutory laws.
2. YOUR RIGHT TO DELETE YOUR ACCOUNT
You reserve the right to request the deletion of your GoMeet account at any time, without being required to state a reason.
GoMeet provides an in-app account deletion mechanism. To safeguard your account security and prevent unauthorized erasure, we may require identity verification prior to executing your request.
Important considerations before proceeding with deletion:
You will immediately lose access and will be unable to log in to your account once deletion is confirmed;
Your profile will immediately cease to be visible to other users;
Your personal data will be erased or processed in accordance with this Policy;
Certain information may be retained where permitted or mandated by applicable law;
Deleting your account does NOT automatically cancel recurring subscriptions billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play;
Deleting your account does not entitle you to a refund for past transactions or remaining subscription periods.
You are strongly advised to review your active subscriptions and remaining benefits prior to confirming account deletion.
3. HOW TO DELETE YOUR ACCOUNT
3.1. In-App Deletion
To delete your GoMeet account directly within the app, follow these steps:
Open the GoMeet app and log in;
Navigate to Account → Settings;
Select Delete Account;
Read the warning notices and acknowledgements carefully;
Enter your password to authenticate;
Tap Confirm Account Deletion.
Upon confirmation:
Your account will be deactivated immediately;
You will be unable to log in or use any account services;
Your profile will be removed from all discovery, matchmaking, and browsing features;
GoMeet will initiate the deletion of your personal data in accordance with our retention schedule.
Note: While your account becomes inactive immediately upon confirmation, full data erasure across all backend databases may take additional time.
3.2. Requesting Deletion via Support
If you encounter technical difficulties deleting your account via the app, you may submit a support ticket in-app:
Navigate to Account;
Select Help & Support;
Choose the Account category;
Describe your issue and submit the request.
You may also contact us via email at contact@gomeet.info for assistance.
To protect your personal data, we may require identity verification before facilitating manual deletion. GoMeet support personnel will NEVER request your password or SMS OTP.
4. ACCOUNT DELETION PROCESS
4.1. Immediate Actions Following Confirmation
Upon receiving your confirmed deletion request, GoMeet will immediately:
Deactivate your account;
Revoke all active login sessions and block future authentication;
Conceal your profile from discovery feeds, matchmaking features, and nearby user lists;
Prevent your account from engaging in or receiving new interactions;
Initiate the scheduled erasure of associated personal data.
Deactivation indicates that the account is no longer operational; it does not imply that all data has been permanently purged from our databases at that exact moment.
4.2. Processing Timelines
GoMeet processes data erasure requests in compliance with statutory deadlines:
Under current applicable regulations in Vietnam, valid data deletion requests are typically processed within no more than 20 days;
Where coordination with external service providers or third-party cloud infrastructure is required, processing may take up to 30 days;
In the event an extension is permitted and necessary under applicable law, GoMeet will notify you accordingly;
Certain records may continue to be retained for legitimate and lawful reasons, such as dispute resolution, fraud prevention, or statutory compliance.
4.3. Account Recovery Grace Period
In certain circumstances, GoMeet may assist in restoring your account within thirty (30) days of your deletion request, provided that the necessary data is still lawfully retained and has not been permanently purged.
To request recovery, you must contact Customer Support and complete identity verification. GoMeet does not guarantee that every account can be restored. Restoration will only be performed in compliance with applicable personal data protection laws.
4.4. Completion of Deletion
Once the deletion process is finalized:
The account is permanently closed and inaccessible;
Personal data that is no longer required is permanently erased or irreversibly anonymized;
Legally required records will remain securely stored under strict access controls;
Permanently deleted data cannot be restored under any circumstance;
Account deletion does not extinguish any legal rights, obligations, or liabilities incurred prior to the deletion date.
5. DATA SUBJECT TO DELETION

5.1. Account Credentials & Information

Your profile is removed from public view immediately upon account deactivation.

5.6. Messages, Images, and Videos
In-app chats, transmitted photos, and shared videos are processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Certain communications may remain visible within the recipient's local chat history or may be retained temporarily to resolve pending user reports, harassment investigations, or safety concerns.

5.7. Technical and Diagnostic Data
Device identifiers and technical specifications;
System activity and access logs;
Customer support tickets and feedback;
Transaction records and security logs.
(Data required for legal compliance, fraud detection, or dispute resolution will be retained under Section 6).

GoMeet respects your right to data erasure. However, we may retain certain records to fulfill statutory obligations, resolve disputes, or safeguard user safety.
6.1. Reports and Investigations
Data may be retained to:
Investigate and resolve outstanding safety reports;
Enforce penalties for violations of Community Guidelines or Terms of Service;
Resolve pending disputes or legal claims;
Protect the vital interests, safety, and legal rights of other users or third parties.
6.2. Security and Anti-Fraud
We may retain limited information necessary to:
Investigate security incidents and data breaches;
Detect and prevent fraudulent activities or financial misconduct;
Prevent repeat abusers, banned users, or bad actors from circumventing platform bans;
Combat identity theft and unauthorized access;
Protect our users and infrastructure.
Retention is executed strictly on lawful grounds and only to the extent necessary.
6.3. Transaction and Payment Records
Transactional data may be retained for:
Payment verification and reconciliation;
Handling chargebacks, disputes, or refund requests;
Preventing billing and payment fraud;
Complying with applicable accounting, tax, and financial reporting laws.
6.4. Legal and Regulatory Obligations
We may retain records when:
Compelled by applicable statutory law;
Subject to a valid subpoena, court order, or formal request from competent law enforcement authorities;
Necessary to resolve legal disputes;
There are other legitimate legal grounds to continue retention.
6.5. Email Address Retention Post-Deletion
Where legally justified, GoMeet may retain an encrypted hash or minimal record of your email address or unique identifier. This data is strictly used for:
Platform integrity and security;
Fraud prevention and ban enforcement;
Dispute resolution;
Statutory compliance.
GoMeet will never use retained email identifiers to maintain an active account or send promotional communications. Access is restricted strictly to authorized security and legal personnel.
6.6. Retention Periods
Data is not retained indefinitely. Retention schedules depend on the nature of the data, the specific purpose of processing, and statutory limitation periods. Data will be permanently purged once the legal or operational justification expires.
7. SYSTEM-WIDE DATA REMOVAL
7.1. Active Databases
Data stored in production environments will be deleted or anonymized within the timeframe specified in Section 4.2. Where data retention is legally required, strict logical isolation and encryption are applied to restrict further access.
7.2. Backup and Disaster Recovery Systems
To guarantee system stability and business continuity, GoMeet maintains encrypted system backups. Data erased from active systems may persist temporarily in backup archives until overwritten in the ordinary course of our backup retention cycle. GoMeet does not utilize deleted user data from backups for active use.
7.3. Third-Party Service Providers
GoMeet relies on trusted third-party cloud infrastructure and vendors for:
Database hosting and cloud storage;
System operations and monitoring;
Media storage and content delivery networks (CDN);
Push notification and email delivery;
In-app feature operations.
When you delete your account, GoMeet coordinates with relevant third-party vendors to ensure personal data is erased or anonymized in accordance with applicable data protection agreements.
8. ACCOUNT DELETION AND PAID SUBSCRIPTIONS
GoMeet offers membership tiers and paid features processed through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
Deleting your GoMeet account does NOT cancel active auto-renewing subscriptions. To avoid future charges, you must actively cancel your subscription through the platform where payment was initiated.
8.1. Canceling via Apple App Store
If you subscribed via an iOS device, manage or cancel your subscription at:
https://apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions
8.2. Canceling via Google Play
If you subscribed via an Android device, manage or cancel your subscription at:
https://play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions
8.3. Premium Benefits Following Deletion
Once your account is deactivated, you forfeit all access to remaining paid features, virtual items, and membership perks. Account deletion does not generate an automatic entitlement to a refund for:
Unused portions of an active subscription period;
Consumable in-app purchases or virtual goods;
Unused benefits;
Completed transactions.
Refund eligibility is governed by GoMeet’s Payment & Refund Policy, Apple/Google platform terms, and applicable consumer protection laws.
8.4. Restoring Paid Benefits
If an account is successfully recovered within the permitted grace period, restoration of premium perks depends on transaction validity, subscription tenure, and platform policies. GoMeet does not warrant that all previously purchased virtual items can be reinstated.
9. CANCELLATION OF DELETION AND ACCOUNT RECOVERY
9.1. Canceling a Deletion Request
GoMeet currently does not offer an automated self-serve toggle to cancel a deletion request once confirmed in-app. The account is deactivated immediately. If you wish to revoke your request, you must promptly contact Customer Support to verify if recovery is viable.
9.2. Account Recovery
To inquire about recovering an account, contact:
Email: contact@gomeet.info
Website: https://gomeet.info/
GoMeet will evaluate account status and verify your identity. Recovery is only possible if essential data has not been permanently purged and remains lawfully available.
If recovery is no longer possible, you will need to register a new account to continue using GoMeet. New accounts will not inherit previous profiles, match histories, chat records, or premium perks.
10. SECURITY DURING ACCOUNT DELETION
GoMeet maintains rigorous administrative, physical, and technical safeguards to secure your personal data during the deletion lifecycle, including:
Mandatory identity verification prior to executing deletion;
Role-based access control (RBAC) ensuring least-privilege access;
Tamper-evident logging and auditing of deletion operations;
Protecting data from unauthorized access;
Implementing appropriate encryption safeguards.
GoMeet support personnel will NEVER request your password, SMS OTP, or credit card details.
